October 1, 2020

Let’s take a closer look at this years running and outline the ways you can get involved to help make a difference.
From humble beginnings right here in Australia, Movember has grown into a truly global movement. From a quiet beer and a big idea came 30 moustaches in 2003 to well over 5 million participants from all around the world. The foundation exists to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives and this is what drives every single one of the 1,250 men’s health projects that they have funded over the years.
There is more than one way to get involved this year, let’s break it down:
Sign up at movember.com, start with a clean shave and grow a moustache for the month of November (Movember). Use the power of the moustache to create conversation and encourage others take action with a donation. Patchy, lopsided, itchy or epic - whatever you grow will save bro.
Run or walk 60km over the month. That’s 60km for the 60 men that are lost to suicide each hour, every hour across the world. How you run or walk is completely up to you. It doesn’t matter if you take it fast, take it slow, push your limits or push ‘go’ on the treadmill.
Think of something you love doing like eating or playing cricket. Rally the crew, and invite your friends to join you, in person or virtually, collect donations and bam – you’re hosting a Mo-ment. It’s that simple. Whatever kind of shindig you plan, ask friends and fam to donate and go hard on social media, every donation can help make a difference.
Mo Your Own Way
A choose-your-own-adventure challenge, Mo Your Own Way means that you get to make the rules. Set your limits, chase them down, go epic in scope and scale to inspire donations and have a ton of fun while you’re getting it done. Whether it’s a test of physical endurance or a pledge to kick a bad habit – it’s whatever Mo Your Own Way means to you.
This year has been a dead set clanger and has chucked up everything imaginable to date, on the bright side, there are more ways than ever to have fun, stay connected and raise much-needed funds this Movember.
