Choosing the haircut that is right for your hair type and face shape is not always the easiest of decisions to make.

There will be occasions where the style that someone desires may not work well for them individually. So how to get it right and ensure that you leave the Barber chair looking and feeling your best every time?

The first step is to find a truely professional barber, someone who knows how to style, someone who has the traditional skillset but is also fluent in modern looks.

Getting a Style Cut is somewhat like getting a Tattoo, you choose the tattooist with the best reputation and someone that you can trust, the same goes when choosing your barber. In both situations you need to tell the artist what it is that you desire, they can then provide their professional advise and inform you of what is achievable and what will work best for you.

Before you step into the barbershop you may first consider what hair type you have, is it straight, wavy, curly, thick or thin?, this is going to have a bearing on what styles can be achieved. Men with super curly hair can pull off styles that are impossible for men with straight hair and vice versa.

Another area that you may overlook or not even give consideration to at all is your face shape, will your new Style Cut compliment your shape and features? Rounder faces can be lengthened by cutting short on the sides and leaving more length on top, product can be used to give extra height and enhance the effect. Men with a square face type should avoid overly short cuts and straight lines, longer natural styles can soften the hard angles found here.

“Fashion you buy, but style you posses. The key to style is learning who you are, which takes you years. There’s no how-to road map to style. It’s about self-expression and above all, attitude.”
