Being well-groomed is essential when it comes to being a man. After all, first impressions last and putting that right foot forward is important in so many situations. When you meet people, you don’t only want them to see a man that they can trust and rely on but also one they feel comfortable to associate with because of how good you look. Get a barber to trim your beard

For any beard-growing man out there, trimming one's beard seems like a normal regime. Unfortunately, while this will help maintain the beard, it won't allow you to style it to its best.

Similar to how you would go to the barber for the perfect haircut, you should do the same for the ideal beard trim. Yes, you can do it all by yourself, but the level of detail you might have in mind might only be ever possible when someone else, with more experience, is doing the job for you!

Use a quality shampoo and conditioner

While shampoo keeps your hair clean, it also dries it out from its nutrients, meaning that it leaves your hair dry and frazzled. If you are using oil based or clay styling products you should look into using a high quality degreasing shampoo, one that can strip away the product but is gentle enough to use every day, we recommend Uppercut Deluxe Degreaser and the American Crew range. Conditioning helps to keep your hair moist, protected and style-able, the way you want it to start every day, so don’t forget the quality conditioner and to use it every day!

Replace the toothbrush and razor

The toothbrush and razor cannot last forever, over time, that razor will get dull, and the toothbrush will deteriorate.

As a good rule of thumb, when it comes to your toothbrush, replace it every three months. As for your razor, replace it every six shaves or so, depending on how thick your growth is and how often you shave. Nothing worse than an irritating shaving rash, see in store for a range of products that will help you get the perfect shave.

Apply a face moisturiser daily

Before you head out each morning, apply some moisturiser to your skin. Look to use an SPF moisturiser to help keep you safe from the sun's harmful UV radiation. The moisturiser will keep your skin hydrated which ensures that it doesn't start to wrinkle and crack while facing the harsh Australian elements.

Final Thoughts

While there are many activities you can start to do to help enhance your grooming practices, the four mentioned above are perhaps some that you should start if you haven’t yet done so. If you start all of those, your hair is going to be sleeker, your skin is going to look younger, and your face is going to look much sharper!
