Pre school aged boys tend to be some of the wildest when it comes to choosing their hairstyle at the barbershop. When they hit that post toddler age and are presented with the opportunity to start making some decisions for themselves, they seldom hold back. They often make bold choices and learn some valuable life lessons along the way.

When little boys become solid on their feet and are no longer stumbling around in toddlerhood, they are no doubt steeling your i-phone and filling the camera roll with a thousand selfies. They start to become more self conscious and may start to take an interest in their own style and appearance.

It is a very inquisitive age and a time when the the young fellas are yet to be moulded by the constructs of society, they remain brave, open minded and free. The result of this is some of the wildest hairstyle choices that you can imagine, but only if they are given the opportunity to make those choices for themselves.

Letting go of parental control can be difficult for many people as they are afraid that the choices that the boys make will reflect back on them with negative connotations. It can be said that brave parents will raise brave boys. Allowing them the opportunity to make these decisions for themselves may lead to a spiderweb, batman, zig-zag or star shape cut onto their head but this  can be very empowering for them. The freedom of choice encourages boys to be themselves without fear or influence and by supporting them in these decisions an increased sense of trust can be fostered between parent and child.

At the end of the day it may seem like an insignificant little thing, however a haircut can be a big decision for a little man. His choices will not only effect him at this young age but also provide him with valuable lessons that he can carry with him as he grows older and faces more difficult situations in the journey of life.
